Fan Fact: Michael is a diehard superhero fan — binge-watching MCU movies and reading DC Comics.

Michael is the third child of the Pangilinan family and often seen as the black sheep—the rebellious one. He has a knack for fixing the family van alongside his dad but is frequently at odds with Benjamin, who constantly scolds him for his mischief and reckless behavior. James, the eldest and ever the peacemaker, finds himself caught in the crossfire between his two younger brothers, attempting (with mixed success) to mediate their constant clashes.

A fairly tall teenager, Michael sports short, wavy black hair, brown eyes, a distinctive beauty mark on his right cheek, and a tan complexion. His lean yet athletic build speaks to his love for basketball, a passion he indulges in daily at their backyard court. Not just a casual player, Michael is a school basketball MVP and, at one point, even the team captain. However, his biggest opponent isn’t another player—it’s his sinking grades, his knack for getting into trouble, and the occasional street brawl that threatens to derail his success.

At heart, Michael is an action hero—fiercely competitive, determined to conquer every challenge, and relentless in his pursuit of victory. Impatient and impulsive, he often leaps before he looks, charging headfirst into battles with boundless energy. A firm believer in the glory of combat, he values strength and courage above all else, dismissing Benjamin’s strategic mind and James’ smooth social skills as unnecessary in the heat of battle. Yet, despite his brashness, Michael has a surprising knack for stealth and cunning—when he actually puts his mind to it.

Michael felt a surge of energy course through his right arm, down to his fist. Despite how strange it seemed, he seized the moment and stood up, ready to fight again. This time, his punches were stronger, effortlessly knocking down the thugs.

Why are so many of us being taken down? the gang leader thought, baffled.

–Michael’s sudden power at Chapter 9: Awakenings, part 2 — Transformation

A devoted fan of superhero movies and comic books—binge-watching the MCU and geeking out over DC Comics—Michael naturally chose Spartan as his character in The Star of Vis board game. But when the Cosmic Cataclysm was unleashed, fate had more in store for him. Struck by the Scarlet Luminary, Michael was gifted all of Spartan’s incredible abilities, transforming him into a living embodiment of the superhero genre.

As Spartan, Michael possesses super strength and super speed, heat vision, and the power of flight. But beyond these classic abilities, he can weave solar energy into golden weapons—a tribute to the ancient warrior city of Sparta. In battle, he can push his powers even further, becoming a living, humanoid mass of plasma energy, rocketing through the sky like a blazing firestorm.
