Summary (Chapters 18-22)

Oppa Rockstar (James) returns to Sta. Jovita in search of Allison (Love Fey) and ends up solving the Sphinx’s riddle in Victorino to earn a day in Thebes. Princess Ruana (Roanne) reveals her water-based powers to Captain McKinley (Benjamin), while ROBO3000 theorizes that Greek monsters can go undetected with faint signals. As James goes around the Mediterranean to save Sir Cerulean Arlentis (Topher), he’s trapped by the Nemean Lion. Honoring his brother Spartan’s (Michael) will, James fights the beast without retreat. Meanwhile, Echidna celebrates her triumph as only three of the Seven Acolytes remain.

Sir Cerulean reaches the Griffin’s vault and must weigh sacred treasures on giant scales. With Cielo, his divine steed, he chooses artifacts that reflect his allies’ virtues. The final item is Pandora’s Box—no longer a curse, but humanity’s last hope. Cerulean is ambushed by Typhon’s specter. The Griffin sacrifices itself to ensure Cerulean escapes with the box.

Cerulean entrusts the Star of Vis to McKinley before falling in battle. A nuclear reactor explodes to Uncle Ronald. Ruana taps into lunar magic to defeat Echidna, but the moon drains her life. She’s healed by gentle waters and guided by Hestia to the Oracle of Delphi. Hestia’s flame frees the Oracle and Ruana accompanies the Oracle in her final moments beneath the golden sun.

Captain McKinley launches a suicide mission against Scylla and Charybdis. He defeats Scylla, and after a tearful confession with Ruana, sacrifices their ship to destroy Charybdis. Uncle Ronald discovers his powers and rescues McKinley, though the captain is later declared brain-dead. Typhon returns, wielding the Star of Vis, and summons Hydra. As despair sets in, Cerulean miraculously rises from the dead.

A final war erupts between the monsters and Philippine-American forces. Cerulean clashes with Typhon, aided by Archangel Michael, who strikes down the Chaos Father. Cerulean opens Pandora’s Box, creating a black hole that consumes Hydra. Transformed into a Cherub, he sings a hymn of healing that restores the world. Peace returns, and he and Cielo witness the dawn of a new age—not from the heavens, but from the earth below.
