Star of Vis Chronicles

A chronicle is typically defined as a historical account arranged in chronological order—but it also refers to a series. Star of Vis is the celestial centerpiece of this story, and while this book is the first and only entry for now, it holds the promise of sequels, prequels, and spin-offs. Using Chronicles this early serves as a quiet guarantee of what’s to come—a broad umbrella under which future entries can naturally fall.

Acolyte Origins

Acolyte Origins is the main title of the story. “Origins” signals an origin story—not just of the Seven Acolytes as a team, but also of each hero as an individual. How does it all begin? How do they get their powers? Their alter-egos and transformations? Their suits and special abilities? This is where they discover their roles and embark on their first missions. It’s the start of their journey into becoming heroes.

Genre Heroes vs Greek Monsters

This is the central conflict of the latter half of the story. While not all stories require conflict, here it drives the narrative forward. “Genre heroes” means our protagonists come from wildly different genres—superhero, magical girl, sci-fi soldier, pop idol, and more. It’s chaotic, bold, and exciting. Pitting them against iconic monsters from Greek mythology creates an unusual clash that’s both nostalgic and refreshing. The concept is deeply metafictional—genre-savvy and self-aware—and it raises the stakes while teasing a steady escalation.

B. K. P. Carreon

This is the pen name I’ve chosen—classic and professional, using initials for my first and middle names. B. and K. stand for my two first names, while P. represents my middle name. (Let’s keep what they stand for a secret!) The format is versatile, timeless, and fits any genre or market. Plus, it gives me a bit of a secret identity—just like a superhero.

A Pop Culture Fic for Teens

“Fic” is a casual shorthand for fiction, while “pop culture” means, well, everything popular: shows, music, trends, memes, brands. My story is more than just filled with references—it celebrates and commemorates pop culture. It weaves pop culture into its very DNA—its worldbuilding, characters, and core themes. It’s best suited for readers in the tween-to-teen range, or “lower YA”—with themes that might need parental guidance and action that approaches PG-13 levels.

TV, Movies, Comics, Videogames Come to the Real World

This is the tagline, bold and chalk-written:
TV, MOVIES, COMICS, VIDEO GAMES COME TO THE REAL WORLD.
If “genre” hints at meta, this tagline says it outright. Characters and concepts from all kinds of fictional media—heroes, monsters, villains, weapons, HQs—suddenly manifest in the real world. It’s wild, it’s chaotic, and it’s pure genre-blending madness. Genres that never should’ve shared the same page now collide in one shared plane of existence. Intriguing? Definitely.
