Inside the Peregrine Lightyear, ROBO4000 and CleanBot realize they have surpassed the halfway point in awakening the children, a milestone once thought impossible. The Star of Vis appears before them, foretelling the coming of the Seven Acolytes and urging the robots to witness the journey to its end. On Earth, Michael’s dormant power awakens during a gang fight, triggering his sudden extraction through a pentagonal portal. At home, Benjamin grows suspicious of his siblings’ shifting personalities and begins to suspect something unnatural. Determined to uncover the truth, he follows Michael during a school trip to a natural park. There, Benjamin’s bionic vision reveals that the boy with him is an android impostor. After defeating it and demanding answers, he is pulled through a portal to Peregrine, just as the real Michael was before him .
Meanwhile, Topher plays frisbee with his dog Hunter when a swarm of aggressive moths begins to follow them. Acting on instinct, he summons a radiant crucifix that destroys the creatures and saves them both. This event awakens the Star of Vis within him, restoring memories of a past incident. The attack is revealed to be a test orchestrated by Echidna to identify the Star’s true bearer. Accepting his role, Topher enters a pentagonal portal and leaves his family in Hunter’s care. He arrives at Peregrine, where his cousins are being held, and reunites with them. Together, they step into the Star’s light and transform into their heroic alter egos, each embodying a distinct identity and power.
Under new commander McKinley, doubts arise about keeping the team hidden, though Princess Ruana insists it is necessary for their safety. The group copes with isolation through routine while disturbances on a remote island prompt McKinley and Ruana to investigate. During their absence, Michael secretly attempts to steal Topher’s pendant but fails. The robots begin overseeing the team’s training while quietly discussing their own ambitions. Michael overhears ROBO4000’s dream of becoming a steampunk machine in the Victorian era. Later, he persuades the others to step into the public eye as heroes and even tries to bribe ROBO4000 with promises of limitless oil. At the same time, Topher shares his power by wishing for his cousins to each receive their own transformation trinkets.
Soon, the team begins acting openly, responding to crises across the city. Sophie saves a falling window cleaner while James bursts into an office building, drawing public attention. Michael, as Spartan, intercepts a hijacked airplane and defeats the armed attackers with overwhelming force. Elsewhere, Allison overrides the command center to manage her alter ego’s social media presence. Alongside Topher, she responds to emergencies, including stopping a runaway train and rescuing civilians from a burning building. Their coordinated efforts save lives, and a mysterious Pegasus-like creature aids them in extinguishing the fire. A reporter arrives afterward, broadcasting their actions and bringing their heroism into the public spotlight.
Amid these events, Sophie encounters a small droid named Bumbleebee in the depths of the ship, and they agree to work together to navigate the maze-like lower decks. At the same time, Ronald stumbles upon a portal after his tricycle breaks down and is transported to Peregrine. ROBO4000 subdues him but ultimately recruits him as the ship’s mechanic by uploading knowledge directly into his mind. Ronald hides the truth from his family, claiming he works at the municipal hall. Though initially uncomfortable with the robots’ crude lifestyle, he gradually bonds with them. Meanwhile, ROBO4000 and Michael fabricate training footage to deceive Commander McKinley. Beneath the surface, both the team’s growing independence and the secrets within Peregrine begin to deepen, setting the stage for greater conflict ahead.
